Bootstrap is a free and open-source front-end framework for designing websites and web applications. It is the most popular framework in the recent time. It is sleek, intuitive, and powerful mobile first front-end framework for faster and easier web development. It uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript for typography, forms, buttons, navigation and other interface components, as well as optional JavaScript extensions. This tutorials has been prepared for anyone who has a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and has an urge to develop websites. Bootstrap was developed by Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton at Twitter. It was released as an open source product in August 2011 on GitHub.

Bootstrap 4 is the newest version of Bootstrap; with new components, faster style sheet and more responsiveness. It supports the latest, stable releases of all major browsers and platforms. However, Internet Explorer 9 and down is not supported.
